The area where I live is rich in archaeological sites and from my studio window I can see a stone alignment and a bronze age ringfort.  One of the most fascinating to me is called the Boheh Stone considered to be one of the finest
examples of neolithic art in Europe.  Recently it was discovered that on two days in the year, April 18th and Aug 24th the sun is seen to set on top of Croagh Patrick when viewed from the Boheh Stone. Then instead of disappearing
behind the mountain, the sun appears to roll down its northern shoulder. The dates suggests sowing and harvesting and a connection between the rock art and the sacred mountain.
